Our Achievements so far as CARE (As of June 2017)
- 2500 people are trained by CARE in Social Work, Health care and Counselling so far
- More than 25 people who completed the course started their own social work organization and helping 1000s of needy and deprived people in the society
- Provided educational support to vulnerable groups of children (children from vitbhatti and children who beg for a living)
- Developed innovative method of storytelling to develop personality and leadership skills among children
- Mentored and built the capacity of NGOs like SAMPAC, Swaraj GramvikasPratishthan, SAAD Foundation and Jeevan Anand Sanstha
- Trained 53 women as Master Trainers through an program organized by British Council in partnership with Diageo as part of a new initiative on ‘Young Women Social Entrepreneurship Development Programme’ with the objective of empowering women through social enterprise
- CARE was a member of the committee that drafted rules for Child Labour Law 2016.
- CARE is member of working committee on the JJ Act 2015.
- CARE is member of the committee on Children Conflict with Law – Mumbai Police Commissioner office.
- Part of the ‘Survey of Child Labourers in Mumbai’ a collaborative effort by Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA), BalPrafulta and Committed Action for Relief and Education (CARE) in 2013.
- ‘Developing a New Perspective on Child Labour: Exploring the Aftermath of Mumbai Raids conducted from 2008 onwards’ funded by Child Rights and You (CRY) in 2013-2014.
